Astrology is Freedom

It must be.

Think about what goes into the modern identity. The religious dogmas that promote suppression, self loathing, and fear; the patriotism and nationalism that demand blind obedience (and sometimes, hatred); the normalized greed and ruthlessness that are byproducts of consumerism; the inherited Cold War propaganda passed down through the generations; the cultural hegemony that conditions acquiescence to exploitation and Plutocracy. Buried under this mountain of influence where are we exactly? Are we human anymore?

Astrology shines a light on the energies closer to our core and reveals that small authenticity that is sometimes minimized or shoved into the background. It makes it brighter. Stronger. So, I guess if we are talking about freedom then we should also discuss how this comes about: through validation and awakening. Because, by honing in on the truth of who we are it is then easier to identify everything we are not. And if astrology is true in that regard then what else might it be able to shine a light upon?

I have such a hard time meeting anyone nowadays because I don’t feel like I am really meeting them, but instead this weird Frankenstein of different forces that have been cobbled together into…well, I don’t even know. But I say all that to then say this: I don’t feel that way about many within my community. And some of them (you)…are just works of art. I don’t know exactly what (or maybe I do), but I tend to believe that the awakening of self and strengthening of inner light leads to a degree of intentionality that eventually becomes pure archetype. Transcendent. Lol, I know. I’m putting you guys on a pedestal, but I really do see you that way. I mean, I SEE YOU. And I don’t see anyone anymore. You know how powerful that is?

There’s something else here as well. If astrology is freedom from all these things then it must also be revolutionary, inherently so. Maybe it wasn’t always this way, but it definitely is now. And that might be why it has come back to humanity – to wake us up from all we are not. And yeah, there is unification and evolution beyond all that, but first comes the awakening.

This is why I love astrology. It’s the awakening part. The revolution part. The breaking free part. This is the underlying passion for everything I do and if there is a boundless love inside me it is held intact by a hope that we can save each other by seeing each other, truly and completely, and let everything that is less true than that light to just fade away.
